Steak Number Eight @ JC Ten Goudberge 9 May 2008
If the light was terrible for Low Vertical and QuiOui, it was possible even worse for headliner Steak Number Eight (steakn8.be). Though, admittedly, all that red looked rather cool but there was just not enough of it. The f/2.8 was too slow, and focussing with the f/1.8 was a nightmare. Without sharp images, I decided to try a different take at post editing: up the local contrast (unsharp mask with a very large radius on the lightness channel) and try to get some atmosphere. The first picture has the best result, IMO.
Tools of the trade: Canon EOS 400D, EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM and EF 50mm f/1.8
