setup

The setup I've used to make these shots. On the right you see my 50D with a 50mm prime lens. On the left an old speedlite connected over PC cable to the camera, illuminating a white backdrop. The idea is that you capture the reflection of this background, so in the water, black paper was used to increase contrast. The speedlite was set to minimal power to get a flash as short as possible, to be able to freeze the splash in time. Source of the waterdrops was a tiny little hole in a bag of water, hanging on a branch of the tree.
